East Fraser Lands Community Centre

The facility plan for the East Fraser Lands Community Centre outlines a multi-functional space designed to serve the emerging riverfront community.

The City of Vancouver retained Inform Planning to deliver a needs assessment and functional program for the East Fraser Lands Community Centre and childcare facility. Working as part of an integrated consulting team, Inform Planning developed a vision for a centralized hub that promotes recreation, wellness, childcare, and social engagement, enhancing the quality of life for residents in this growing community.

Key Features of the Plan

The proposed community centre includes:

  • Flexible multi-purpose rooms for a variety of activities.
  • A fitness centre and gymnasium to support athletics and wellness.
  • Activity spaces, including an arts and crafts room and a dedicated youth centre.

In addition, the plan accommodates a potential childcare facility for 74 children across various age groups, addressing the diverse needs of the community.
